How bulk verification works here
The flow is three steps on purpose: upload, map columns, confirm. The separation exists so you see the exact cost before any credit is reserved. A one-shot "upload and go" is friendlier right up until someone maps the wrong column and is billed for forty thousand rows of company names.
Once confirmed, rows are verified in the background at a rate the receiving mail servers tolerate. Progress is live, and rows the engine could not test are retried rather than being marked invalid — and never charged.
Why lists should be verified before every send
B2B contact data decays at roughly 2% a month as people change jobs. A list verified six months ago is meaningfully worse than one verified this week, and the cost of finding out by sending is measured in sender reputation rather than credits.
Bounce rate above 5% is where providers filter as a matter of course and most email services begin suspending accounts. Reputation takes weeks to rebuild and one campaign to damage.

How do I clean an email list?
Upload it as a CSV, map the column containing the addresses, confirm the cost, and download the results. Remove everything marked undeliverable, and treat risky and unknown according to how much a wrong send costs you.
How long does bulk verification take?
It depends on the providers involved. Verification is paced per receiving provider so the probes are not mistaken for an attack — a list weighted toward providers that require slower pacing takes longer, and rushing it would produce blocks instead of answers.
What do I do with "risky" and "unknown" rows?
Risky means real mail that is not a safe send — a catch-all domain, a role account. Unknown means the mailbox was never tested and is worth re-running later. Neither is a reason to delete a contact outright, which is why they are not folded into undeliverable.
How large a file can I upload?
Up to 50,000 rows per job, depending on plan. Larger lists can be split, or run through the API.
