How this works
Paste a CSV, a spreadsheet column, an email thread or a web page. Every address is pulled out, lower-cased, deduplicated, and reported with a count of what was removed.
The pattern is permissive on the local part and strict on the domain, because real addresses in exported files contain apostrophes, plus tags and dots — and a tight pattern drops exactly the addresses people most need extracted.
Placeholders are filtered: documentation examples, error-reporting keys, and asset filenames that happen to look like addresses. What is left is worth verifying.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The extraction runs in your browser and the text never leaves the page. A contact list is confidential, and uploading one to a stranger's server to run a regular expression is a trade nobody should have to make.
What counts as a placeholder address?
Documentation examples like [email protected] and firstname.lastname@, error-reporting ingest keys, and asset filenames that look like addresses. They appear constantly in real exports, and extracting them as leads is worse than noise because someone eventually sends to them.
Will it find addresses inside quoted CSV fields?
Yes. It works on the raw text, so quoting, column position and delimiters are irrelevant — paste a whole file, one column, or an email thread.
What should I do with the addresses afterwards?
Verify them before you send. Extracted lists are usually older than the person pasting them realises, and a list with a high bounce rate damages sender reputation immediately and takes weeks to recover from.
