Switching

A Snov.io alternative for the data half

Snov bundles finding, verifying, sending and a light CRM. This covers moving the first two — and is direct about the two you would have to replace.

What Snov.io does better — read this before anything else

  • Drip campaigns and a CRM built in — one product instead of three.
  • A Chrome extension for prospecting directly from LinkedIn.
  • Broad tooling for a small sales team that wants everything in one place.

Choose Snov.io if: You want prospecting, sending and a CRM in one subscription and are happy to trade depth in each for that. If any of that is load-bearing for your team, staying put is the right decision and we would rather you knew now.

Why people move

  1. 1

The trial is 50 credits and 100 recipients renewing every 30 days, and Snov states that "bulk search, bulk verification, teamwork, email A/B testing, API & webhooks access and export are not available in Trial". The API is the thing a developer came to evaluate, and it is the thing the trial excludes. Our free tier includes the API, bulk and export.

  2. 2

Snov describes its finder as drawing on a 500M-contact database, company websites and LinkedIn profiles, and its finder page does not report which page a given address came from. Every address here carries the URL it was published on, the extraction method, the date it was first seen and whether it is still there.

  3. 3

Starter is $39 for 1,000 credits a month. Ours is $39 for 3,000 credits a month, and a verification costs 0.5 of a credit. See pricing — those numbers are computed from the same file the checkout charges against.

  4. 4

And the reason most people should not move. Snov sends. Drip campaigns, a light CRM and a LinkedIn extension are in the same subscription. There are no campaigns here and there will not be. If the sending is why you bought Snov, this is the wrong page.

Moving across

  1. 1

    Export your prospect lists

Snov exports prospects as CSV from the Prospects area. Export before you cancel anything — and note that export is one of the features the trial does not include.

  2. 2

    Decide what replaces the sending

This is the real work, and it is not a data migration. Campaigns, sequences and the CRM live in Snov; nothing here replaces them. Pick the sending tool first.

  3. 3

    Create a free account

100 credits a month, renewing, with the API, bulk and export included rather than held back for paid plans.

  4. 4

Re-run a domain you know well

Run a domain search on your own company. Every address comes back with the page it was published on, so you can check the answers against a site you can read yourself.

  5. 5

    Switch the API

Domain search, email finder and verify map closely. The response is an open object carrying the engine verdict unchanged, so read the reason field rather than only the status.

What gets better

A citation on every address. The URL, how it was extracted, when it was first seen and whether it is still on the page today. It is the difference between a contact you can explain and one you cannot.

How the name was attributed. Whether the publisher named the person in schema.org markup, whether the name sat next to the address in the DOM, or whether we split the local part and inferred it. Those are three very different claims and nobody else separates them.

The API in the free tier. Including bulk and export. You can evaluate the thing you are actually buying before paying for it.

What gets worse

  • Drip campaigns and sequences. There is no sending here at all.
  • The built-in CRM — leads and lists only.
  • The LinkedIn Chrome extension.
  • A much larger prospect database, if raw volume is what you are buying.

Switching from Snov.io

What is the best Snov.io alternative?

For the data half — finding and verifying — VerifyInbox covers it with a source page on every address and the SMTP evidence on every verdict. For the sending half there is no equivalent here, so the honest answer is a data tool plus a sending tool, or staying on Snov.

How do I export my data from Snov.io?

Prospects export as CSV from the Prospects area. Snov states that export is not available on the trial, so do it while the subscription is live. Upload the file here, map the email column, and your original columns come back with our verdicts.

Does VerifyInbox have a Chrome extension like Snov.io?

No. Snov has one and it is genuinely useful for prospecting from LinkedIn. If that is part of your daily workflow, switching will feel like a downgrade on day one.

Can I use both?

Yes, and for some teams it is the right shape: Snov for sending, VerifyInbox for the contact data and the verification, so the addresses entering your sequences carry a source you can point at.

Try it before you move

100 credits every month, free and renewing, with the API and bulk included. Re-check a few hundred addresses you already have verdicts for.

Still deciding between the two? VerifyInbox vs Snov.io is the feature comparison, and every alternative is one table.
