Where VerifyInbox is the better choice
Kickbox classifies accept-all, disposable and role addresses together as `risky`. Those are three different problems with three different answers: a catch-all domain means the mailbox was never tested, while a role or disposable address that accepts mail is a real mailbox with a label on it. We keep them apart, and we also find addresses, which Kickbox does not.

Is VerifyInbox a good Kickbox alternative?
For verification plus finding addresses, yes, and the catch-all handling is more precise: Kickbox files accept-all, disposable and role addresses together as risky. For very large one-off batches Kickbox is cheaper at the top of their published table, and they refund every inconclusive result where we charge for a catch-all.
Does Kickbox charge for unknown results?
No. Their pricing page states that if they cannot provide a definitive result they refund the credit. We do not charge for a retryable unknown either, but we do charge for a catch-all or a full mailbox, because the probe established something real about the domain. Theirs is the more generous rule.
What does a risky result from Kickbox mean?
Their documentation says accept-all, disposable and role addresses are all classified as risky. So one label covers a domain that accepts everything, a burner provider, and info@ at a real company — three different situations calling for three different decisions.
